Are gifts considered income in child support in Florida?

F.S. 61.30 does not mention the issue of whether gifts are income. In general , the court has held that past gifts are unrelated to income. However, the court has ruled that it is within the authority of the trial court to determine if reoccurring monetary gifts should be included in income. If a party receives regular monetary gifts that act as support, these gifts should be considered in determining income.
