Do I have to pay for private school tuition as part of Child Support in Florida?

The court may award private school expenses as part of child support when they are in keeping with the family’s routine standard of living and are in the child’s best interest. However, this may only happen when the payer parent has the financial ability to provide said tuition. The private school tuition will not be subtracted from the child support obligation, but rather will be added to the support amount or dealt with separately.
